Isn't 70 a bit young to be in a Senior Citizen Center ?
What, you retire from your life of servitude at 65, get 5 years to sort of relax and not worry too much ... and then BANG ! you are locked up with lots of wrinklies ?

Maybe its the diet, I know lots of people in the 70s who are still working, mainly to keep busy and occupied (they get the superannuation pension automatically when they turn 65)

My brother is 78 and he, like me, is building small houses still, admittedly his sons do most of the heavy lifting, but still.

Maybe it is attitude, like if you think you should shrivel up and become useless you just do.

I mean, fair shake of the bottlebrush tree if you are physically handicapped by the passage of time or accident, or maybe the doolally bug has bitten you a bit and now you can't tell a bus from an elephant, but apart from those negatives most people with naturally recent gray hair have a wealth of experience and knowledge to pass on or utilise.

Anyhow, Happy Birthday Rodney, sorry I missed it, I'll send you an escape plan.

A Senior Citizens Center is usually a place for socializing, games, and maybe lunch. All ages are welcome. You're thinking of a retirement home or nursing home.
