Al Franken and Jeff Sessions

Isn't it strange to see someone on Saturday Night Live portray Al Franken, who spent years on SNL, both as a writer and performer? Isn't it weird that Franken's portrayal is odder than Kate McKinnon as Jeff Sessions?
