I read only part of the article about Pearson, because I got disgusted. Same old, same old. I was a teacher, and had to sit through presentations made by people very highly paid as consultants to the district. Every one was a waste of time and money. Let teachers select the materials they want. Leave them alone to teach, and you might be surprised at how well the kids learn.
