Americans are awed by wealth and believe it endows power. That belief is what actually endows money with power.

I reckon it is just human nature, here in New Zealand we had an unknown New Zealander who had gone to the USA and become a multi millionaire, come back and walk into the Prime Minister job ... with people saying how clever and wonderful he was, because he had made all that money. He made it by being the guy that arranged to buy slow businesses and selling their assets off, making many AMERICAN people unemployed at the same time. While he was prime minister of New Zealand he sold off the people owned electricity suppliers, which means anyone with plenty of money could buy shares and own the power companies, and now we pay much more for our power, while not owning the generators or cables anymore. The arsehole ... I'll KEY in his name later, also tried to make us have a new flag ... imagine THAT in America ! ... but we, all of us, told him where to go. Anyhow, he privatised a whole lot of things and most people here hate him.
Gosh, then we had Jacinda Ardern, who the press loved and so did the people for a fair while, but then we started to see through her act and she just walked out of the job of prime minister when she realised she wasn't wanted anymore.
Fun fact - She was employed by the WEF before she suddenly sprung onto the scene in New Zealand.
What it needs is someone normal and with intelligence, to run a country, maybe still a bloke, but with say 6 grown women to balance his testosterone and male intelligence ... sorry if that sounds misogynistic, I am nothing like that, prefer female intelligence to male most often, but it is just that those old emotions are still there, so the figurehead needs to be male, for a while yet.
Male, not stupid like Trump.
