So good and so bad, so sublime and so ridiculous, all at the same time. It's interesting how so much of rock and roll, like so much of everything else in popular culture, is a pointless childish tantrum, or like chickens and rats dancing barefoot on a rhythmically electrified metal floor, or like seagulls on drugs fighting over a corn chip. Maybe that's why we like it so much. Also, this particular recording shows what it was like in the brief historical period when hair bands used their own real hair.

I could swear Jimmy Page was wearing glasses in the darkened intro, but then the lights come up and ... no! WTH. There's even a reflection of them ... jeez, maybe I need more sleep.
