Thank you so much for Miss Cellania. I just wanted to say it now because it's really cheered up my Monday morning and I'm not sure if I've ever told you how much it means to me before. I've been following for years and years and visit about two or three times a week. I love your skill in finding all the good stuff, and please, please keep it up.
But ... but if it is for sale and I happen to be shopping for an squeeze horn then I must know if it works. Ahh who am I kidding, I'm not in the market for one of these, I'll squeeze it fun!
I too will squeeze it. I always have an ear out for a desirable bicycle honk horn. The ones that go ORRNka?-ORRNka? are best. So many, though, sound like a Pekingese dog sneezing, a brief, constipated sound. Once when I was casting about for radio show sound effects I found the shelf in a toy store with displays of little cardboard and metal cans with brightly colored cartoons of farm animals on them. There was a supply of Cow Moo, Cat Cry, Doggie Wo-Wo, and several others. You turned the can over, then upright again, and a piston juddered down inside to make a sound. I staged a contest among all cans of each animal, narrowed it down to the longest-lasting-sound Cow Moo, Cat Cry, etc. and bought those. I haven't seen a Cow Moo, Cat Cry or Doggie Wo-Wo toy in thirty years. I wonder why they stopped making them.
I loved those toys when I was a kid! Not that I bought them... and the owner of the five and dime probably hated me and my friends when we turned them ALL over.
