Holiday for Strings

"Holiday for Strings" was written in 1942 and recorded by Spike Jones and his City Slickers in 1945. This video is supposedly from 1947, but you can bet your bottom dollar that it was performed during the filming and not lip-synced. They didn't do that. This band was used to live performances on stage and radio, and usually went with the first take when recording. (via Strange Company)
