Thank a Vet

Not that kind of vet! This has nothing to do with Dr. Doolittle. Today is Veterans Day, the anniversary of the day World War I (then known as the War to End All Wars -ha!) finally ended. Elsewhere November 11th is called Remembrance Day, Armistice Day, or Memorial Day. The US, however, already had a Memorial Day that began after the Civil War, so we set aside this sacred date to thank our living veterans.

But seriously, I went for 8 draft physicals, 7- 1Y and 1-4F.

I'm embarrassed by the number of US soldiers sent to fight and die against people who were no threat to the US. More Likely a threat to an American corporation's profits. Cannon fodder for Wall Street and that ain't right.
