Restaurant Math

That tenth nugget is really expensive! You should get three orders of three nuggets instead, or three orders of five nuggets if you're really hungry. (via Bad Menu)

Why would anyone get 3 orders of three for $1.99 each ($6 for 9), when 2 orders of 5 for $3.00 each is better value (at $6 for 10) ?
I presume these are US dollars as KFC pieces cost around $2.25 each here in New Zealand (maybe soon to be renamed Aotearoa !) so even I, a staunch believer in not supporting a company that is not humane in its treatment of animals, would rush in and order if KFC were to advertise those prices locally.

As a side order, lol, Aotearoa ... pronounced A..O..TAYA..ROWER, is the name given to my country by Maori, the indigenous people here before the white fellas came and took over.
Comparable to the USA and its Indian people (red, not curry)
