Hey! Who's the manager at WordPress that oversees
this blog. I want to talk to him right now.
Why are you even referring that Halloween is
cancelled? Halloween is not cancelled.
Everyone already wears a mask! Everyone will
already follow your stupid COVID rules. And
there's a full moon! And you all get an extra
hour of sleep. Halloween is not run by the
government! So stop your stupid wallowing, turn
your porch light on and pass out candy to the kids.

Respectfully, Karen

Thought I'd better add that closing because, you know. . .

I WISH everyone would wear a mask, then we might all be able to go back to work and school. Freedom for those who demand it means extended misery for all of us.

Two congressional districts in Maine. The 1st, going
progressively left in leaps and bounds (some say
it's now just a suburb of Boston - which if you
know Maine's history is pretty ironic. But I digress.).
The 2nd, rural, open, mostly conservative. The
mask line is pretty much the congressional district
line. Or it was, until the great wedding reception
fiasco (at an Inn I've stayed at - Great Bar!).

Anyway, my annual getaway into the North Maine
Woods was really different this year. Pretty obvious
who was local and who wasn't. It's a different mindset
and not always about freedom and constitutional
rights.

We've always been fragile as a United States. As long
as people were for the most part left alone in their
little world things were OK. Massive disruption is not
something we handle very well.

One of the things that's bothered me about COVID is
up here, some of the super-spreader events are
originating from churches. That's not right and I just
don't get it.
