The historic Charles Bridge in Prague, Czech Republic, was built over the Vltava River. Construction began in 1357 and continued for around 50 years. How did they build such a large and sturdy bridge back then? This video from Engineering and architecture gives us a ridiculously quick idea of what was involved in the bridge construction.
