The article about monogamy is right. You only have to look at LDS communities that still practice polygamy to see the truth of it, with their "lost boys" who get driven out of the colonies because there are no women for them to marry and their superfluity becomes a threat to the leaders who have hoarded all the wealth, power and women in the community.
