I don't think I'll ever get used to vertical videos. Our eyes are side-by-0side, so our field of vision is horizontal; that's the way we see the world outside of videos. This comic is from Randall Munroe at xkcd.
There should be an option for a phone to take horizontal photos and movies - or even switch automatically if held in that position. That would be more useful than the current multiplication of cameras.
People are taller than wide(most of them) but it's usually not the person that's of interest, it's their situation, the stuff a horizontal picture shows.

I also hate the way they put blurred-out mirrors of the vertical screen on either side of that vertical screen. Very distracting.
Those side blinds are a crime. Turn your phone sideways, do the world a favour.
