"How To Tell If A Conspiracy Theory Is Probably False." links to "Oceans in motion: why some fish can’t go with the flow" by mistake.

A working link (though perhaps not the original) is https://theconversation.com/how-to-tell-if-a-conspiracy-theory-is-probably-false-229081?utm_source=DamnInteresting

If it's a Republican or a MAGAt pushing a conspiracy theory, it's undoubtedly false.

I wasn't able to get to Tom the Dancing Bug.

I don't understand how the paintings showing blue fabric validate the claim of "blue jeans" in 1600.
Denim in the 1600's was wool and silk fibers woven in France in a warp faced twill, and dyed blue.
Denim in the 1800's was cotton woven in the same warp faced twill pattern and dyed blue.
Blue Jeans were pants made from heavy duty cotton denim, riveted at stress points, worn by gold miners to save their street clothing for impressing Miss Kitty and the hookers.
