Thank You, Jeeves! is a 1936 movie not at all based on the novel of the same name by P.G. Wodehouse. From Wikipedia:
Bertie Wooster is a frivolous fop who gets himself into a number of scraps only to be rescued by his erudite manservant Jeeves. One rainy night a damsel in distress intrudes on their London flat, carrying half of some mysterious plans. Bertie accompanies her to country hotel Mooring Manor, prepared to do battle with criminals posing as Scotland Yard detectives.
