In 1961, James Monaghan, who with his brother Tom had bought and were running a small pizzeria in Ypsilanti MI, traded his 50% share in the business for the used VW Beetle the brothers were using as a delivery vehicle. That small pizzeria would go on to become the first store of a national franchise now known as Domino's, currently valued at $15.65 billion – so half of that would be about $7.8 billion.
