Postmodern Jukebox is a rotating musical collective that collaborates with singers from all over in all genres, but for this performance, they've tapped a dancer instead (pun intended). Renowned tap dancer Demi Remick has performed with PMJ on the road for years. Here, she dances to a medley of science fiction themes in an act they call "2001: Tap Odyssey." In case you don't recognize all of them (although most of you will), the songs are from Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Doctor Who, Battlestar Galactica, The X Files, E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, Star Wars, 2001: A Space Odyssey, Star Trek: The Original Series, and Star Trek: The Next Generation,
Even if you don't care for tap dancing, you'll enjoy Postmodern Jukebox's jazzed-up versions of your favorite sci-fi movie and TV themes. (via Kuriositas)
