Miss. C-

What fields are your kids interested in working in? Maybe someone here has a lead for them.

Princess has plans to apprentice as a baker when she can finally go to France and join her husband. She'll be taking care of grandma for the summer. Gothgrrl is on track for graduate school this fall, but has to make some decisions on her overall direction. She's working at a nursing home right now.

Sorry they are going through this. My son is, as well.

I left a message with a baker friend, who bakes out of his house, to see if he has any suggestions for a budding baker. I'll let you know what he says.

Well, crap. They sound like they will have to wait this thing out if they want to continue along those chosen paths. In the mean time, Princess could do some baking out of her house and deliver to people who can't get out. Gothgirl is probably needed in the nursing home right now, but will have one hell of an experience to write about in her grad school applications.

Oh, the applications are in, and so are the acceptances. Now she has to decide which to take, from different programs and career paths.

Princess has been baking professionally for more than a year, but the bakery shut down, and so did summer school. And so did transatlantic travel. Her life is pretty much on hold for now.
