House Cat Tries to Intimidate Lion
This video starts out as if it's a failed cute cat video. But Baggy the calico cat got distracted by a lion! Baggy, suffering from "little cat syndrome," thinks she's up to challenging the big cat. It might work against other housecoats, but the lion is not the least bit intimidated. She may even be amused at Baggy's antics. The narration is provided by Derek Krahn of the Center for Animal Research and Education in Bridgeport, Texas. (via Tastefully Offensive)

Exhaustion, Motivation, Distraction
It's no wonder he's exhausted. He may end up with the best broom ever, but he'll be too tired to use it. This happens all the time, at least to me, that the smallest question I explore in what I think will be a minute-long side journey ends up as a quest through the black hole of the internet. An hour later, I finally think, "Wait, I can't use any of this, what am I doing?" This is the latest comic from Chris Hallbeck at Maximumble.

An Honest Trailer for the Live-Action Beauty and The Beast
Screen Junkies is back with a swing at a fairly recent film that also a tale as old as time. Beauty and the Beast was a huge hit in 1991, so Disney made a live-action version for 2017. The movie starring Emma Watson broke records: it is the the highest-grossing live-action musical of all time, the biggest ever March release, and the biggest musical debut weekend ever. But you can bet they found some craziness to highlight in this Honest Trailer. One thing they didn't touch on that annoyed me about the movie was why no one bothered to tell Belle that her skirt was tucked into her pantaloons through the first couple of scenes.

It's All in the Framing
Want to sell something? Hit the customer right where he lives. Let them know this is what they really want. If he can get a steady supply of cheese balls, it won't matter who is serving them, how much they charge, or what extra information they are gathering from you that they can sell to someone else. This is the latest comic from Zach Weinersmith at Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal.

Sexy Chest Swimsuit
Did you ever think it strange that women's breasts must be covered up, but men can bare their entire chests? That we can share pictures of a man's nipples, but a woman's nipples are considered NSFW? Social media censors tear their hair out at some pictures of nipples, because there really isn't much difference between the sexes without context. What if we were to cover up a woman's breasts with a picture of a man's chest? This swimsuit does just that, hair and all Yes, the backside has hair, too. Watch what happens when this woman models it for her children.
Beloved Shirts sells the Sexy Chest One pIece Swimsuit in several shades for $44.95. It's not for everyone, but it's funny and makes a statement. They are selling like hotcakes. (via Buzzfeed)
Heroes of the D-Day Invasion
I have an ongoing project to make posts for mental_floss articles I wrote way back when that I do not have an archive for. Here's another one. Somehow I neglected to post this on June 6, which I had planned.
On the anniversary of the D-Day invasion of Normandy, we should take time to remember some of the many heroes of the various battles that took place as the Allies stormed their way into France during World War II. Here are some who received the Medal of Honor for their bravery and selflessness, in an article I wrote for Mental Floss.
