Kevin Bacon Dances Footloose

Kevin Bacon made a rather impressive entrance when he was on The Tonight Show last night, dancing like he did back in the ‘80s. What else could he do, when Jimmy Fallon announced that NBC haas banned dancing on the show? Bacon is 55 years old. He was quite a bit younger when the movie Footloose was released just over 30 years ago, but he’s still got the moves (although there are a few “foggy” shots I suspect used a double). It's true that dancing keeps you young! (via Daily Picks and Flicks)

Cat Alarm Clocks

Does your cat do this? It’s been a long time since I was awakened by a cat, since there are four people in my house who are all equally as likely to fill the cat dishes, and there are only two or three hours in which we are all four asleep. I learned long ago that well-fed cats help to insure a decent sleep interval. This compilation is from Huffington Post. (via Tastefully Offensive)

The Motion Picture Camera: Past, Present and Future

This wordless sequence is a tribute to awesome movie camera shots from the past hundred years and the cameras and operators who shot them. This was put together for the Society of Camera Operators 2014 Lifetime Achievement Awards. It left an impression on those who saw it on the big screen there, as it would on anyone who loves the cinema. (via the Presurfer)

The Bachelor

Louis C.K., Bradley Cooper, and the Magic of Video Archives

YouTube member GAabriel Antunes put together a weird bit of Hollywood coincidence that will take some explaining, but will blow your mind. Or maybe not, does this kind of thing happen all the time, and we just aren’t aware of it? This video is arranged in three parts.

1. In 2009, Louis C.K. talks about the wannabe actors who pose questions to movie stars, such as Sean Penn, during the show Inside the Actors Studio. No way any of those curious students will ever be famous!

2. In 1999, Sean Penn was indeed on Inside the Actors Studio, where he fielded a question from a wannabe actor named Bradley Cooper.

3. In 2013, Bradley Cooper harassed Louis C.K. onscreen when they were both in the movie American Hustle. Who's laughing now?

How anyone ever put all this together is beyond me, but I’m glad they did. (via Uproxx)

While the NCAA basketball tournament is eliminating your favorite teams left and right, you might be discouraged enough to turn away from sports and try something different. There are plenty of online brackets to fill out, as we found out Tuesday. Here are several more brackets you can enjoy that have nothing to do with basketball, in my post today at mental_floss.

Christopher Walken Dancing

Christopher Walken may play creepy roles, but he loves to dance. In fact, before he was an movie star, he trained as a dancer for musical theater. This video has clips of 57 different Christopher Walken movies going back as far as 1977, and he dances in most of them. That’s a lot of movies! A list of the films is at HuffPo.
