Luke Skywalker vs Darth Vader
Adult Swim gave us quite a few hilarious Star Wars sketches using action figures. In this compilation, we get a supercut of the interactions between Luke Skywalker and his infamous father. If you've ever seen Adult Swim, you can figure that there are some strange but funny father-son bonding moments here. And you'd be right. They dance quite well, for action figures. Fast Dogs
Who's a good boy? Who's the fastest dog? Only one can be the fastest, but they're all good dogs.
New York Mayoral Debate
Saturday Night Live opened the show last night with the New York mayor's race, featuring disgraced former governor Andrew Cuomo, Guardian Angel and perpetual victim Curtis Sliwa, and popular newcomer Zohran Mamdani. I don't know why people can't pronounce his name; it sounds exactly as it is spelled. None of the cast members looked all that much like the politician they were portraying, but the jokes just wrote themselves.
Dogs Protecting Babies
Don't you dare raise a hand to that child! Dogs all over the world will go to bat for their little human friends. None of these children are in real danger. The "threats" are either everyday play or a test of the dogs' responses. That's a bunch of good dogs.

Thank You (Falettinme Be Your Sledgehammer)
Sly and the Family Stone sings over the rhythm of Peter Gabriel in this new mashup from Bill McClintock. Listen, and you'll hear Stevie Wonder's "Superstition" and "Another Brick in the Wall, Part 2" by Pink Floyd as well.
A Danny Elfman Christmas Story
Yes, I understand that November first seems too early to start the Christmas season, especially since haven't shaken Halloween out of our systems yet. So it's the perfect time for A Danny Elfman Christmas Story. Elfman knows about the macabre. The musician has been the composer for more than 100 films, including most Tim Burton films. Now he's written and narrated his own creepy story.
The tale is presented in poetic form, as Elfman delivers gifts dressed as Krampus and is confronted by a "fan" who is an actual demon. That's when things get weird. But as creepy as this one is, you have almost two months to get over it before Christmas. (via The Awesomer)
A Surprise Guest at a Shire Wedding
Hobbiton is the original location of The Shire in The Lord of the Rings movies, meaning that's where those scenes were filmed. The movie sets were preserved, and the area is now a pilgrimage destination for fans. It is also a popular venue for weddings. Sharik and Jess Burgess-Stride are both LOTR fans, and held their wedding at Hobbiton just a few days ago. All the guests were wearing Shire attire. Elijah Wood, who played Frodo, was not.
When photographer Cath Ullyett saw Wood walking nearby with his family, she rushed to invite him. Wood was hesitant, not wanting to invade the couples' privacy, but the photographer knew it would thrill them. So Wood ran up to greet the happy couple and pose for a few photos.
It was the first time a cast member had been to any of the many weddings held at Hobbiton over the last twenty years. The bride and groom were ecstatic. (via Geeks Are Sexy)
Friendly Ferret Fight
Just like two young brothers do, the ferrets Atlas and Orion squabble over their water dish. We know it's just a sibling rivalry, as neither one of them were hurt. First they chase and slap each other, then one tries to drown the other in the bowl. Then they wrestle for a while. Who won? If you ask the ferrets, they would probably both claim victory. Just like brothers. (via Tastefully Offensive)
The Change
— Marti Lawrence (@marti-l.bsky.social) October 31, 2025 at 8:55 AMDon't we all wish! but seriously, folks, Sunday November 2nd, is the day we set our clocks back to standard time. Before you go to bed Saturday night, wind those clocks back and get an extra hour of sleep. Unless, of course, you stay up later than you should because the clock now says it's not bedtime yet.
