Tiny Goats Visit Chupacabra
A couple of goats from the Oregon Zoo (both named after Supreme Court justices) go visit a Chupacabra. But not really. This Chupacabra is a Patagonian mara named Chupacabra. A mara looks like a giant bunny with short ears, or else a guinea pig with deer legs. Wait until you see it spronk!

The Most Palindromic Date Ever
Yes, the calendar is just a system for counting days, which has nothing much to do with the natural world, but it's a system we've used for a long time. That gives us an excuse to celebrate the way the numbers line up on certain dates. Today is special because it's Groundhog Day, Super Bowl Sunday, and also a pure palindrome when you write the numbers out, no matter which side of the pond you are on. Putting a Round Peg in a Square Hole
This is even better than a collision of shapes. Tadashi Tokieda passes a round coaster through a square hole that is much smaller than the coaster's diameter! The simple explanation is that he folded the paper in a way that made a slot as long as two sides of the square. He has a more detailed explanation in this video from Numberphile. This will make a great parlor trick for a party or to impress your kids. (via Damn Interesting)
