Kevin Parry demonstrates different ways to walk. You'll recognize the moves right off, even when they seem to come from the Ministry of Silly Walks. The subtitle of the video is "animation reference," but we don't really know if he made the video for his own stop-motion animation, or to make the rest of us laugh. WWII and the Panjandrum
The Great Panjandrum was an experimental weapon developed by the British during World War II. It was a double wheel propelled by rockets all around, designed to carry a bomb to shoreline. But a series of rockets was too unpredictable to keep on track. Here we see some formerly-classified film of Panjandrum tests at a seaside resort. (via Cracked)
Cat Stuck in Brickwork
A construction worker at a new home in Northern Ireland heard a meow from a cat in distress. It was stuck between the concrete and brick of a wall!
I got my drill and started to drill holes in the wall until located the exact location of the cat and where it was able to break free. I then put the video on Facebook hoping to find the owner. After about two hours the owner got word from some friends who saw my video on facebook. He contacted me and I then took the cat to his home where the owner was delighted to have the cat home and thanked me.(via Laughing Squid)
The Statue of Liberty’s True Colors
The Statue of Liberty is made of copper, which is supposed to be the color of a penny. Well, she was when she was new, but we are used to seeing her as a weird green color. This video from the American Chemical Society explains how she turned green. If we were to remove the green, would there be anything left underneath? Maybe not, so green she stays. (via Mental Floss)

MarbleLympics 2017 Qualification Round
It's a marble racing event in a LEGO stadium with marble fans watching! The opening qualification race is followed by a sand run outside, complete with instant replay. Then back to the stadium for the team Block Push event. Who knew marbles could do all this? The Funnel Spin Race is interesting -the aim is to be the last one across the finish line. So who are you rooting for- the Galactics, Oceanics, Limers, Jawbreakers, Quicksilvers, or some other team? Sixteen teams of four marbles each will compete in the full MarbleLympics. Programming Note
There may not be any videos here today, we will see how it goes. I was stung over a dozen times by wasps yesterday. If I were allergic to stings, I'd be dead now. Yeah, I got them back, but was in agony for a long time. I am doing well to get anything at all done.
