Gas Prices

Personally, I find gas prices to be a relatively minor effect of the war with Iran, compared to all the deaths and the further ruining of our country's international reputation. But for many Americans, it's the only thing about the war they've even noticed, and it is a struggle. So it's logical that Saturday Night Live would use gas prices for their opening skit. I really felt sorry for those cast members in the back for having to freeze through most of it, which was nearly impossible.

Country where I live had 3 weeks fuel reserves.
$ days after you Trump started bombing Iran our petrol price went from around $2.50 a litre, to $3.15 a litre.
Do I need to do a conversion for you ?
Do I need to state that that seems vastly unfair ?
Do you think, if and when the Iran fuel thingie is over, the fuel companies will as quickly reduce their prices ?
Do you think they ever will ?

Ok, conversion ... American gallons are different to gallon in the other country that still uses them (that's the UK, which has 4.5 litres per gallon) and it has 3.78541 litres.
So we here, in the bottom left, English speaking, predominately white, country and islands, of the Pacific, were paying about $9.50 for what you call a gallon of 95 octane petrol, what you call gas, which I used to laugh at as it is a liquid, but then I laughed at myself when I realised you meant gas as an abbreviation ... I may have mentioned this before, if so, deal with it.
Anyhow, now we, or at least I, because I have cars I love and they are fairly sporty, powerful, cheap person's Italian, beautiful darlings, which demand and deserve the higher octane fuel ... I have to pay just under $12 for the equivalent of your gallon.

One must also consider, our dollar here, say should I fly away and have to convert it, or like when I buy something online from the USA, is worth ... hang on, I'll look it up ... is worth 58 cents US, so my $12 a US gallon would cost you, if you were here, and apart from fuel prices you really should be, its the safest country in the world, ffs ... would cost you $7.

Least I think that's how it gets worked out.
Its not like I am a doctor of mathematics or anything.
I'm just a normal bloke.

Well, I DO have lots of cats, but they basically just moved in when they wanted to, and I'm a soft touch for animals, and so I just foot the bill for the food, and any vet visits.
Otherwise I'm absolutely normal.

Ok, I Do have three Alfa Romeo cars right now, nothing like brand new, and a couple of early century Saabs
Apart from that, totally normal.

Anyhow, I have all five car's fuel tanks pretty much full, they are all undercover, so no sun heat to cause expansion or evaporation (we're just coming into autumn here, but it is still hitting 25ºC that's 77ºF) ... I live 1 kilometre from the local supermarket, my furtherest friend lives 55 kilometres away, all the others are within 5 kms.

Reckon I can outlast whatever Trump does to another country ?

By the bye, I think Iran should have an administration elected by popular vote, i.e. what most of the people want, rather than some religious freak that wants to subjugate women.
I have two daughters with free spirits and strong wills, they would have been executed if they were in Iran.
Luckily they live here.
