"I'm going to make some people mad. . ." Yup. I've read Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy twice. The movie is not better than the book. Le Carre can be a real tough read so I understand the thought process though. Masterpiece Theatre did a version staring Alec Guinness back in 1979 that was absolutely awesome. That was better than the movie and maybe as good as the book. I'd have to see it again.

Two lifetimes ago I was on temporary duty in Cartegena Columbia. It was too dangerous to stay there so we helicoptered back and forth from the USS Nassau. What book did I bring to pass the time on the ship? Clear and Present Danger. Maybe not a good choice but reading it in "real time" it was definitely better than the movie.

As for the rest, meh. But isn't it about time for the whole Jurassic Park franchise to you know, fall into a tar pit or something?

Happy Friday Miss C!
