Wonderful

The band Francobollo released their song "Wonderful" with an animated video about a jealous ball of pubic hair. Yes, that's exactly what it's about. It's downright goofy, then turns a little scary, and barely on the edge of SFW. I hope you 'll get a laugh out of it like I did. (via Neatorama)

You have to wonder how many students dropped that class. (via Bad Newspaper)

A Modern Sisyphus

It's a windy day. The garbage can blew away, and mom and dad sent the child to get it and bring it home. But it's still windy, so that's not an easy job. But he keeps at it, no matter how difficult his task is made. (via Metafilter)

Cat Curling

Whee! That's some fun! I got rid of all the carpets this summer for nice smooth floors like this. Now that it's cold and the cats are inside a lot, I need to show them this great game! (via Metafilter)

Tweet of the Day

What a difference four years makes! What's even more ironic, the 2012 tweet was when Trump mistakenly thought Romney had won the popular vote and lost the electoral college. The truth is, only once in the past 24 years has a Republican won the popular vote (incumbent Bush in 2004).

Best of Luck with the Wall

The US-Mexico border is almost 2,000 miles long. Some of it is desert, some mountainous, and a lot of it is riverfront. The river itself causes many of those miles, as it meanders quite a bit. You can't build a wall in the river, and because of geology, you must build one with a substantial setback from a river. A lot of Americans own riverfront property (or live near enough to be affected), and the ones in Texas who have been cut off from the rest of the country by a wall already are not happy about it.

Field of Vision stitched together 200,000 satellite images to give us a tour of the southern border in this fast-moving video. Director Josh Begley talks about how this video was made here. (via Digg

America Invades Australia for Christmas

Meet the Tinkletons, a family of super enthusiastic Americans who are convinced that their Christmas is better than ours. And this year, they’re heading Down Under to prove it.
Christmas in Australia is as traditional as any other country. After all, what's Christmas without a little water skiing, an outdoor singalong, and barbecue? This ad is from Aldi, the German grocery that serves both the US and Australia. (via Adweek)

Fat Kangaroo Rat Rescued from Wall Socket

A kangaroo rat tried to squeeze out of the wall through a TV socket, but he was too fat to fit! Gazza Vegan found him and freed him by breaking the plastic wall plate. He said the only thing hurt was his pride. Since the guy goes by the name vegan, you can trust that he didn't hurt the little fella. (via reddit)

Something you never thought about before, but it makes perfect sense: Chewbacca had his own lines in Star Wars. While filming, Peter Mayhew spoke those lines in English to give flow to his conversations with Han Solo. But since they spoke in different languages, Chewbacca was overdubbed in Wookiee. When Mayhew posted this Tweet, the first comment was
there's something wonderful about a narked off Wookie with a Yorkshire accent, i'd have loved that in the final cut

10 Creative Ways to Prepare a Turkey

The basic method for preparing a Thanksgiving turkey is to put it in a hot oven and wait until it's done. The results are usually pretty good, but it's the same every year. In case you feel a little adventurous and want to try something different this Thanksgiving, there are many other ways to prepare the traditional bird.  I wrote up 12 recipes, six of them are still in this list posted at mental_floss. And they added four more that I would never attempt.

Abraham Lincoln, Martial Arts Hero

We've seen (or at least head of) Abraham Lincoln as a vampire hunter, so why not make him into a Kung Fu master in the style of Bruce Lee? We heard he swung a great axe. And we've got plenty of existing movies about Abe starring actors you'll recognize instantly. Cinefix made a mockup of a phonetically-dubbed sound effects-enhanced 1970s martial arts flick starring everyone's favorite president. (via Geeks Are Sexy)
