T. Rex Gets His Groove Back

Life was once great, when T. rex could just roar and everyone would run in fear. He was the apex thunder lizard! But then things fell apart. Someone pointed out his tiny arms, and not everyone makes fun of him. He even became an internet meme, which is a recipe for depression. And since this is an ad, the cure is something he should buy. Audi has a self-steering car, it seems. But the story is good enough to pass along anyway. I was rooting for the poor guy the whole time. (via Tastefully Offensive)

15 Quirky World Championships

They say everyone is good at something, you just have to find out what it is. Thanks to the internet, people with similar interests can find each other, organize events, and compete with each other easier than ever before. Here are a few world championships you may never have heard of, or that you may even want to enter, in a list I compiled for mental_floss

An Honest Trailer for Captain America: Civil War

The Marvel movie Captain America: Civil War is available on Blue-Ray as of today. Perfect time for an Honest Trailer from Screen Junkies. This is the movie where a bunch of new Marvel superheroes are introduced because the Avengers are split into teams to fight each other, right?

From this video, I also learned that it has an incomprehensible plot that no one cared about because they wanted to see superheroes fight. And it has a lot in common with Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. (Thanks, Paul Panday!)

The Whoopass Girls

All your favorite cartoons started out as someone's college thesis. Animation student Craig McCracken put together a cartoon called Whoopass Stew for his thesis project at CalArts in 1992. It starred three superhero characters called the Whoopass Girls. You may recognize them as resembling the Powerpuff Girls, which is what they became at Cartoon Network when they finally got a series from 1998-2005. This is one of five early cartoons you can see at Inverse, as they discuss the obscure collegiate origins of successful series like South Park, Family Guy, and more. Animation students, there may be more riding on your final projects than you realize! (via Digg)

Fat

The description of this short film is “Life is good down on the farm until things start getting fat.” I would argue that they don’t seem so fat as they seems inflated. A few good farts ought to put things right. Oh yeah, this contains concepts that might be hard to explain to children.
