Am I silly ?
I live in a country that bears the nickname 'The Shaky Isles', and in 1999 (amongst all the partying) I bought a house with a concrete tile roof.
Limited cash meant I had to decide which renovations to do first, and being a worry wart at the time I decided to rip off the roof and replace it with modern, strong, light, steel profile roofing.
All because even though the insurance covered any damage should there be an earthquake, me and my ginger cat (I only had one back then) lived under that vast amount of weight.
I took off a total of 1200 tiles, each weighing about 2 kilograms, so 2.4 tons, held up by wood sticks, right above my ...and my cat's, head.

Oh, ok, metric tonnes, so about £5300, 2.6 US tons, when will you guys go decimal with your measurements ?
