Regarding Arabic numerals - this should be added to the common knowledge that many people do not know. The schools are also teaching Arabic math, aka algebra.
You need religion to have faith. It's the biggest thing any religion teaches. At the end of the day if you can have faith that *something* will work out and be OK then you'll be that much better off. Whether or not you ascribe that something to a God is immaterial.
Also, If you haven't figured out how to mute yourself by now, it's not going to happen.
