The Dog That Adopted a Deer

Ludovica the fawn was abandoned by her mother near a farm in Germany. The sisters who run the farm saved the baby deer by feeding her, but did not want her to become too dependent on humans. It was Leo, their dog, who became Ludovica's comforter, protector, and teacher. When she was older, Ludovica was granted freedom to roam, and Leo taught her how to navigate the woods.
