Ermine Plays Peek-a-Boo
An ermine is a stoat http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stoat wearing his white winter coat. I had no idea they were so cute, but this little guy is utterly charming as he peeks out of his cubbyhole in a hollow tree stump. Look at those bright black eyes! There is no information about where this was recorded, or whether this critter is used to humans or not. (via Tastefully Offensive)

Ermines are a native species worldwide from 40°N to the Artic Circle. Way too much area to guess where that cute little guy is from.
Ermines were the white fur trim on the robes of European royalty.
