Lumberjacks in the forest may fell giant trees whole, but in an urban area, you have to be careful not to take out the whole neighborhood. When a tree gets too tall, the best thing is to take it down a section at a time. This palm tree in San Bernardino, California, got so tall that it was bending over, so it was better to take it down than to wait for it to fall. But the job wasn't without danger, as you can see. That's a longer clip than I'd seen, I had wondered how long it would sway.
The top comes off and he starts his ride at 0:47. He's still swaying when the second piece comes off at 2:51. That's over 2 minutes of Dramamine worthy ride. The third piece comes off at 3:19 so only a half minute from the second ride.
Meanwhile on DIGG, their headline for this video is so idiotic, I wound up yelling at the screen.
Now we know what those 'Pole Cats' guys from the "Mad Max: Fury Road" movie are doing these days.

Meanwhile on Digg. . .
I've been meaning to comment that a lot of stuff on Digg seems to be appearing after I've already seen it here first (or perhaps on Neato). Makes me think a) they're lurking slackers and b) Miss C is really on her game.
I have noticed that, too.
