ReplyDeleteMy father was a Mason, Shriner, and Jester. He had a red, yellow and green motor scooter but tired of that and moved to a ’48 Hillman Minx convertible the same colors. MELHA Temple had a ton of parade units, one being the Highlanders bagpipe and drum corps. Every Memorial Day they would meet at the temple and be bussed 20 miles to our little town, march in the local parade, then the bus would drop them at my fathers where their wives would show later. Everyone would eat and drink, play bocce and drink, play cards and drink, and throw someone in the pool and drink. Occasionally some would start playing Amazing Grace and we’d have a mini concert for awhile. I always tried to make it home for Memorial Day.

By the way, that quote which the Maggie-like character is writing in her diary is from 'The Diary of Anne Frank'. You all saw how well that worked out for her and her family. There is no inner goodness of heart in DJT or his MAGA followers, and the sooner they are eradicated from the earth the better it will be for all concerned.
