Cannon Ball vs Ballistic Gel in Ultra Slow Mo

Gavin Free and Dan Gruchy are the Slow Mo Guys, who have invested in various high-speed cameras and made a name for themselves showing us neat things in slow motion. They have also acquired a cannon that shoots billiard balls. When you own a weapon like that, you are always looking for a reason to use it. Gav and Dan also recently ordered an economy-sized shipment of ballistic gel for another video demonstration, and had plenty left over. So it only makes sense that they would shoot cue balls into the ballistic gel. That doesn't take much more than an instant, but it's pretty neat to watch it in ultra slow motion. They expected it to blow through the gel, but that didn't happen. What did happen was the entire block of gel was levitated from the impact! The slow motion playback reveals other surprises, prompting them to do it again, even harder. With even more surprising results. There's a one-minute skippable ad at the five-minute mark.
