  2. The next time I want to hear anything at all about the former guy is when the newscasters announce that he choked to death on a Big Mac.

  3. This is what makes Twitter such a wonderful part of our culture. Present a snippet from an assignment from one teacher at one school and the twitterverse passes judgment on an entire political party. OMG, this teacher is teaching her students to be fascists, Christians are trying to take away our rights, yada, yada. And if the snippet was about Mr. Biden or some supposed CRT lesson, twitter would be ranting about communists, socialism, liberals taking away our rights...

This appears to be from a guided reading assignment and IMO the question is ill-advised and biased. But an honest and informed opinion would require seeing the entirety of the assignment, including the text or other materials that students were provided to complete the assignment.

And wanting to hear about the untimely death "the former guy?" Interesting...

  5. I do not wish that any harm intentionally befall #45. Unlike some others, I do not advocate that anyone take any overt action to cause his untimely demise.

But, however, if the Great Cosmic Wizard should call out, with regard to Commander Bone Spurs, "Drizzle, Drazzle, Drazzle, Drone; Time for this one to come home!" (bonus points awarded if you're old enough to remember where that little bit of doggerel comes from), I would take great pleasure in reading the obituary.

  7. I will agree that "President Trump made false claims that the 2020 election was stolen" uses biasing language, at least if there is no elaboration.

But the media have limited time and space, so they prefer that shorter version to "President Trump made claims that the 2020 election was stolen; in the nearly 22 months since those first claims, neither Trump nor promoters of those claims have produced credible evidence to support them, so we judge the claims as false".

BB, don't you care to hear about it if/when #45 is legally forced to wear a new orange uniform?

  8. Yes I would, Snowman.  But I'm nothing if not a realist, and I'm aware that because of the way it would be dragged out, litigated, appealed, re-litigated, and re-appealed before finally an 'agreement' would be reached, there's a better chance of my sprouting feathers and being able to fly by flapping my arms before anything like that ever comes to pass.
