This video of traffic during rush hour will probably make you nervous -if you’re an American. Those who have driven in other countries may see it as an everyday occurrence. Relax, it’s not a documentary. This art video was directed by Fernando Livschitz of Black Sheep Films. Considering the
other films by Fernando Livschitz I’d go with “masterful editing.” (via
Buzzfeed)
It's definitely the editing. A major clue is the number of identical vehicles – specifically, the group of four identical pink-colored cars that pass through once but then show up again so quickly, but the giveaway is the two police cars making the U-turns at the 30-second mark. If you pause and look closely, you'll see that the roof number (6024) is the same on both cars.
ReplyDeleteHaving seen this, however, you can't help but have even more appreciation for stunt drivers in movies such as the original "The Italian Job" — or even the Shriners in their little mini-convertibles — who do stuff like this in the real world and with real vehicles.
-"BB"-
!!! I can't watch this.
ReplyDeleteSomeone once said that in the far future when they really have perfect self-driving, fully communicating cars, they'll replace all traffic lights with traffic circles. I responded that they don't need to do that--just take out the traffic lights and let the cars interleave at the intersections at full speed--just like this video (except I don't think it works with joggers.
