The Story Behind "Brandy"



I almost didn't post this video, but then the first words I heard were "I'm Bart Herbison with the Nashville Songwriter's Association." I used to work with Bart at a radio station in Paris, Tennessee, about 30 years ago. Also, the song "Brandy (You're a Fine Girl)" was my favorite song when I was 13 years old (but not in Tennessee). Elliot Lurie wrote the song, and gives us the rundown on how it came about. (via Boing Boing)

    So have you tried to get in touch with Bart? Is it the same one? He fills the first page of a Google search
