ReplyDeleteYear-round standard time: The linked article failed to mention that the U.S. Senate voted unanimously in March 2022 to make daylight saving time permanent but the House never took up the measure in the face of opposition. I suspect the opposite will be true this time, the Senate will not even consider it.

ReplyDeleteJello still has its uses. Double Rainbow Cake Jelly Shots and Gory Halloween edibles come to mind. Margarine also still has its uses. Chewy cookies, especially chocolate chip along with some pretty tasty dips that need a soft spread. Food expiration dates are more about quality then safety, excepting things like meat and other obvious perishables; and quality is in the eye of the beholder. Spice storage is a PITA to manage. Stuff coming and going and getting pushed of the way. Curating the hot sauce shelf in the refrigerator is also a pain. There's never enough room. You want expiration dates? Got a bunch for ya there!
