Water Your Christmas Tree

If you have a real Christmas tree, cut or live, make sure it is well hydrated. In this demonstration, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission compares how fast a dry tree burns compared to a well-watered tree. The tree on the right is ignited a full 30 seconds before the tree on the left. Check your tree's water level every day. Or twice a day if your cat or dog drinks it. (via Fark)
