Gotta say, I never thought about having lounge room type things like side table lamps and framed pictures, etc, in the kitchen ... but maybe I am misreading the situation and the people just like having a kitchen sink in their lounge room ? I did once rebuild a large 6 cylinder motor in my lounge room, so I maybe shouldn't judge. Did you know, daffodils are the national flower of Wales (that's the country, not the big blubbery mammal that swims)
My mother was like that with her plants. She was really good at growing and propagating plants.
