  1. Has anyone considered Vermeer painted in Delft because he couldn’t afford travel, or it was the only place he could get laid?
    Maybe he painted indoors because of birds pooping on him working outside.
    Vanmeert is a chemist so he thinks like a chemist, Vermeer was not so chose pigments for other reasons or maybe what he could get. Try this with that, ok, it works. No gosh, what will it look like in 100 years.
    Trying to claim you’ve figured out the artists “intent” is folly, the intent was to finish the damn painting and get to the pub.
