  1. Any Brit my age and older could tell you exactly what that sounded like. The 'Ooh Betty,' catch phrase was a staple of school playgrounds, even though it never actually appeared in the TV series.

  2. Andy, if it wasn't on TV how did it become a playground staple? The voice and the name Betty?
    Usually Kid 1 mimics something from TV or movie and Kid 2 recognizes where it's from, so those 2 are a mini "in crowd" which expands rapidly unless 1 & 2 don't share and it's something esoteric.
    I find the process fascinating. Why yes, I am weird. LoL
