That story about Boeing makes me very sad. When I retired after 25 years at Boeing I saw the trouble boiling up with the influx of disciples of Harry Stonecipher in the wake of the McDonald Douglass merger. A diametrically opposed culture putting profit driven MBAs ahead of engineers. Moving the engineers half way across the country from the work, and subcontracting everything. That culture was just starting to seep into Boeing Helicopter when I got out. Made me embarrassed to say I worked there.
ReplyDeleteMedicare forms expanded to accommodate $100 million price tags? Holy cow!
After Clinton failed, Obama failed, and Trump reneged, Biden has been successful in changing the law so Medicare can negotiate drug prices. Baby steps at first but the right direction at last.
