This is what employers think you are worth. The last time I worked at a real workplace, there were occasional employee parties, but management had nothing to do with them and employees brought the food. But then, come to think of it, it was a union shop. I never participated because by the time everyone else's lunchtime rolled around, I was desperate to leave and take a nap.
