My mom used to be able to do the same thing (holes in socks, usually) on a old pedal-driven Singer sewing machine.-"BB"-
Oooh, I've always wanted a pedal-driven sewing machine! All I see in antique stores is the early electrics, with those dangerous fabric-covered cords. With a pedal, you never need to worry about it not working, as long as you keep it properly oiled.
