I had to look it up because all I could remember was that it was really controversial and radio stations tried to ban it - which of course had the opposite effect.
But it was intentionally written to be controversial and banned because the Buoys' contract had nothing for promotion - they were on their own; the song was the solution to promote the band.
And Timothy is from the same guy who gave us "If you like Pina Coladas. . ." And that's the fricken song now stuck in my head...
OMG that song had not entered my mind since I was 7 years old. What a bizarre time in music.
