  1. Felis catus is a smaller, somewhat domesticated version of apex predators in the family Felidae – which includes lions, tiger, panthers, jaguars, and leopards.  Of c̲o̲u̲r̲s̲e̲ it wants to kill you.  It's just, for the most part, too small to do it.
