  3. Baked beans was one of the two things my mother made well. No digging holes in the ground, ten pounds at a time in an enameled roaster pan.
    Ten lbs of yellow eyes and they're OK, oven baked all night, after soaking all day.

    Watching the wood carving I noticed the lamp right away. I'd seen this demonstrated at Old Sturbridge Village in MA. They used water in clear glass to concentrate candle light for reading or crafts.
