Elbow Grease



All through my childhood, my parents told me to use this for cleaning something. I told my kids as well. But we never had any around the house. (via Bored Panda)

    Some of the worst advice in the history of (wo)mankind! Scrubbing, no matter how hard is far less effective than using the correct cleaning agent.

    I don't think parents give that advice because it is more effective (as in, takes less time) than a cleaning product. Quite the opposite...

    Back in the day there was very little choice of cleaning agent.
    They hadn't bottled Essence of Mothers Spit yet.
