Weird Platypus Anatomy

The joke about the platypus is that it was the last creature God made, and He used the leftover parts from other animals. And so the platypus got a bill and webbed feet from a duck, the tail of a beaver, venom like a snake, the swimming ability of a fish, the habit of laying eggs like a bird, and mammary glands because there were so many of them available. Whoever came up with that joke had no idea how weird platypuses really are. In addition to all the odd parts, platypuses glow under UV light like a blacklight poster. They have mammary glands, but no nipples. Yet that's only the outside of the platypus. Once you go inside, they are even weirder still.
